If you ask kids what a "coffee break" means they will say time for a snack, a sandwich or cake or just something to drink. Me personally I think of just sitting back with a soda and a snack cake. This time could be in the morning or in the afternoon. With other people or just by yourself. When people do take a break it is definitely away from the workplace. People go to little cafes or a diner for something quick. Some work places offer snacks and drinks such as cakes, teas, coffees, and sandwiches. Women more then men take this time of day to gossip and just chat. Some people take the time to have a smoke break also. An interesting fact that I ran across was that in Australia a break from the work place is called a "smoko". Some things you
might want to ask your self is. During my break do I want a snack or something to drink? Do I want to catch up on some work? Do i want to visit with some friends?
