Kitchen, Dining, Restaurant :: Books

What is the first thing that you think of when you hear the words "coffee break"? Most people will say relaxing from work for a few minutes. Others think wow finally a chance to go and grab a cup of coffee. During coffee break most people will run out from work and grab a bite to eat or just a cup of "Joe", coffee or latte or tea even. Most people aren't given a lot of time for their breaks. A coffee break can run from five minutes to thirty minutes. I guess it is all according to your job and position. Then most people are not even working. They are just at home and decide to just relax for a couple of minutes. Then go and grab something from the kitchen. A snack or something to drink, and it does not exactly have to be coffee. Some even go out and grab something to eat. Some people call friends and meet them for a catch up session. Some people use this time just to unwind or catch up on some work.

If you ask kids what a "coffee break" means they will say time for a snack, a sandwich or cake or just something to drink. Me personally I think of just sitting back with a soda and a snack cake. This time could be in the morning or in the afternoon. With other people or just by yourself. When people do take a break it is definitely away from the workplace. People go to little cafes or a diner for something quick. Some work places offer snacks and drinks such as cakes, teas, coffees, and sandwiches. Women more then men take this time of day to gossip and just chat. Some people take the time to have a smoke break also. An interesting fact that I ran across was that in Australia a break from the work place is called a "smoko". Some things you
might want to ask your self is. During my break do I want a snack or something to drink? Do I want to catch up on some work? Do i want to visit with some friends?
