Coffee Roasters

Coffee Roasters date back as far as the early 1700's. They are therefore over 200 years old. Then they were a curved shape or global. This was so that the beans could move around and get evenly roasted. I would say that they were shaken over an open fire. Like we shake popcorn kernels on the top of the stove. As time went on Coffee Roasters evolved into what was then called drums giving extra room for more coffee beans to roast. I guess the only hard part was standing there and turning the roasters by hand. Talk about a sore arm and wrist. Ouch! But could you just imagine the aroma of fresh coffee beans being roasted and anticipating that you was going to have fresh coffee. Yum.

Eventually electric and gas roasters came along which in turn heated up faster than the manual roasters. Also with electric Coffee Roasters, beans were less likely to be burnt, than with the manual ones. Some Coffee Roasters have been known to roast coffee beans in about three minutes. Wow, talk about fast. Did you know that the smaller the coffee bean the faster it can be roasted. You can purchase a Coffee Roaster at specialty coffee shops and at some local hardware stores.

Of course you could always go online and find the kind of roaster you want. Not all people like to roast their own coffee, so most go to a coffee shop and get it roasted and take it home and grind their freshly roasted beans so that they can enjoy a cup of fresh brewed coffee. Some Coffee Roasters are priced from fifty dollars to well over five hundred. A Coffee Roaster is a good gift for that coffee lover that you know or if you are wanting to start your own coffee shop.

When you go to buy your Coffee Roaster here are a few things to think about. What type of roaster am I looking for, electric or gas? How much am I willing to pay? What size do I want my roaster to be? As always with any anything you buy, shop around and look at all the different kinds and the quality of the products.
