It is always advisable to buy your coffee in small amounts keeping storage time to a minimum. To really optimise the flavour of stored coffee you should invest in an airtight vacuum sealed cannister. There are many available from simple glass jars to those with a firm fitting sealed lid causing a vacuum once closed.
