Kitchen, Dining, Restaurant :: Coffee accessories :: coffee filters

Coffee Filters are a brewing utensil. Sometimes made out of paper. Now you can get the stainless steal ones that you do not have to throw away. They are mostly used for the restaurant industry for the stainless steel coffee makers. They were invented so that you could filter your coffee grounds and not have to worry about the bitter taste. You can purchase them almost anywhere. In any small gas station or grocery store. Most coffee shops have them too. Most of the paper filters will fit any coffee pot. Coffee filters date back as far as the early 1900's. Now you can also buy what is called a permanent coffee filter. All you have to do is put your coffee in it and just brew it. Then afterwards just wash and its ready to use again. That is a great idea, especially for people who are in a rush. I have also seen now that you can buy coffee in filters, similar to a pod.So all  you do is drop the whole thing in your coffee pot. NO measuring the coffee or anything. Just put in and go. Another great idea.

But coffee filters are not just for coffee, you can use them to make tea also. And just the other day I was watching a show on TV that showed how you can put yogurt in a coffee filter and strain it through. To get all the excess liquid out of it. Now it is so easy to brew a fresh cup of coffee. Now you do not have to boil water add your coffee grounds and then try and strain it. Hoping that it did not have that bitter taste to it. It is hard to believe that we have come so far in the coffee industry. From just boiling your coffee on the stove, to using filters and a coffee maker.
Questions you might want to think about as you go to purchase Coffee Filters. Do I want paper or steel? Do I want ones that already have the right measurements of coffee in them? Am I purchasing them for me or a restaurant? Coffee filters, who would have thought it would have made life much easier for coffee lovers.
